His girls: Girlfriends for Life!

A girl is lucky to have one single friend who knows her, shares memories with her, and understands everything that she's going through. So how do you describe the fortune of having 7 girlfriends like that - all in one circle of friendship, of boundless sisterhood?

My email to His_girls@yahoogroups.com this morning:

Hi, Girls!

First of all, I want to thank you all for your birthday wishes to my hubby! I forwarded your messages to him and he says thank you. Anto, that was very sweet of you to set up the birthday reminders. When you asked us to fill out the data sheet, I thought were just supposed to figure out and remember the important dates on our own. So, thanks!

Also, I wanna wish you all a JOYOUS 2008! May God bless you and your loved-ones!

And finally, I just want to get started with our sharing - supposedly for December 2007... naging busy yata lahat, so mukhang January 2008 sharing na yata ito:

From Anto's email in early December: You may post a picture and share the note explaining why your "mommy" gave you that. The rest of the girls can also add up to that by sharing how they would describe you or what gift they'd send you if you were their baby.

I took 4 pictures (see Shutterfly slideshow - with my comments)... And here's OJ's note/explanation:

December 2007

Dearest Mareng Aud,

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I had a blast thinking about a gift that reminds me of you and our friendship. How could I represent 20+ years of laughter and friendship? So many things have happened since we met, neither time nor distance has made the memories fade.

Francis M CD: I hope this brings back a lot of memories and a smile on your face. "Mga Kababayan Ko" and "Cold Summer Nights" were the soundtrack of our adolescent lives. I can remember you dancing the running man at the flag pole (ESS Old Site) while singing Francis M songs. You were always happy and ready to sing and dance.

Hello Kitty phonestrap and notepad: You always sent us letters or emails or gave us a call. You were also fond of Sanrio items... something I shared with you!!! I hope you like the gifts!

Take care and God bless. Hope to see you soon!

Love,
OJ and JB Quintos

Thanks, OJ! I got the package on Christmas Eve, so the timing couldn't have been more perfect! I was so delighted that you e-picked me! I thought, "This is going to be interesting. .. OJ - a lifetime of friendship.. . Let's open it..."

Sanrio bag as the gift wrapper - Yup! That alone gave you an A, girlfriend! Everyone knows I love Sanrio!!!

And then I opened the bag. Francis M CD!!! I laughed out loud, tears almost came out from my eyes! It was one of those things that didn't even needed an explanation note! I knew exactly what that was for! A+

Hello Kitty stuff: A++ - 'nuff said!

And then I opened your note - Papemelroti card!!! Another thing I shared with you, friend! Love for Papemelroti items! Now it's like A+++!!! I couldn't believe how well you knew me! Sobrang SWAK talaga!

Anyway, you must know that I was cringing as I typed your note to share with the rest of the girls. Francis M? Running Man? Hahaha! OMG! I probably blocked out the running man memory, as I told you before when I responded to your Friendster testimonial reminding me of that flagpole incident... But the memories are slowly coming back to me... And I believe you - those things sound like stuff I would have done... Hahaha! Shameless, fearless me! And I guess it didn't stop me that our crushes would come by and watch, huh? Oh, Audrey!

Thank you, OJ! What a great way for me to end 2007 and begin 2008 - memories of joy and laughter - 20+ years of friendship! Gosh! Has it been that long?!

Thank you so much again, friend... love the gifts, love our friendship, love ya lots!

Mighty Hugs,
Aud

P.S. This is fun, girls! Bring on your memories of me! And I can't wait to hear what everyone else got! Love you all!

(Shutterfly) Christmas Gift Exchange: OJ got me!

Where can I run from Your love?

If I climb to the heavens You are there...

If I fly to the sunrise, or sail beyond the sea...

Still I find You there...
